They did it again!

 The Quakerdale Eagle’s Win 2011-2012 National Prep/Post Grad Invitational Tournament

 

(Waterloo, Iowa) -- They did it again!  The Quakerdale Promise Academy Eagles defeated Raleigh’s Finest Basketball Academy 76 to 54 to win the 2011-2012 National Prep/Post Grad Invitational Tournament for the second year in a row.

 

The invitational was hosted by the Quakerdale Promise Academy on March 9-11, 2012 in Waterloo, Iowa.  Formerly held in Indiana, the event was in need of a new location and Quakerdale succeeded in bringing it to Cedar Valley. 

 

Coach Stan Hughes commented on the win, “The team played very well throughout the tournament and I am very proud of them. This season has had its fair share of up and downs, but throughout it all we have grown stronger on and off the court. All of the young men have bright futures ahead of them thanks to the gracious support of others.”

 

Next up for the Eagles will be the Midwest Prep Nationals in Oklahoma City on March 16-18. The Quakerdale Promise Academy prep basketball program is the first of its kind in Iowa. The program assists young men to heighten their academic readiness for college, grow in Christian character, and develop their success on the court.
